GASB proposes to defer the effective date of Statement No. 87, Leases:
Defer the effective date for states and local governments for one year. The proposed new effective date would be for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2020. (December 31, 2021 and June 30, 2022 Year Ends)
GASB is expected to approve the deferment at their scheduled meeting on May 8, 2020.
