James Bruce, CPA, Principal
Jim was a partner with Daniel Dennis & Company LLP since 1991, and has over 35 years of experience in the public accounting industry. His focus was on audits of nonprofit organizations, employee benefit plans, governmental entities and residential real estate projects. Jim is now a principal at the firm.
Jim has significant experience with engagements that require state and federal audit and compliance requirements. This experience includes financial and compliance audits subject to:
- Government Auditing Standards
- Commonwealth of MA Uniform Financial Report
- US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and
- Single audits performed in accordance with the Uniform Guidance requirements
Jim was the Designated Audit Partner for the firm’s membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accounting’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. He also served as the firm’s information technology partner.
When away from the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters, three son-in-laws, and four grandchildren.
